Over 50 communities and public organizations, including the Fuel and Energy Business Association, submitted a joint statement with recommendations via the platform of the Energy Transition Coalition. Key proposals include:
  • Promoting the development of renewable energy: Participants emphasize the need to create favorable conditions for investors in the field of green energy, which includes simplifying permitting procedures and introducing financial incentives.
  • Optimizing tariff policies: It has been proposed to revise existing tariffs to ensure fair pricing and stimulate energy efficiency among consumers.
  • Improving the energy efficiency of heat supply systems: Recommendations include the introduction of modern technologies and practices to reduce heat loss and enhance the efficiency of heating systems.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine is actively engaging international partners in the development of the Energy Strategy up to 2050, emphasizing the openness of the process and the desire to incorporate best global practices.
The involvement of communities and public organizations in shaping energy policy is a crucial step toward achieving energy independence and sustainable development in Ukraine. Joint efforts by the government, local communities, and international partners will contribute to the effective implementation of the Energy Strategy and the transition to renewable energy sources.
