On January 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM, a working meeting was held between Danylo Hetmantsev, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy, and representatives of businesses and business associations. The event lasted over two hours and gathered around 160 participants.
The Fuel and Energy Business Association expresses its gratitude to the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the opportunity to participate in this event and address questions to Mr. Hetmantsev. Representing the Association at the meeting was Alina Potapovych, Chair of the Legal Affairs and Lawmaking Committee.
It is worth noting that the meeting was highly productive and covered a wide range of issues. Topics included the inefficiencies of the SMKOR system, challenges with unblocking tax invoices, the introduction of electronic auditing procedures, and SAF-T UA in Ukraine, among others. Many of the questions raised by participants were highly specific, reflecting practical cases. Such participants were encouraged to prepare formal submissions, which Mr. Hetmantsev expressed readiness to review.
Alina Potapovych raised the issue of the “future of advance contributions for retail fuel outlets.” In response, Mr. Hetmantsev stated that there are no plans to revise the amounts or procedures for paying advance contributions for retail fuel outlets. He reaffirmed the government’s position that the established rates are entirely manageable for participants in the fuel market.
The Association urges its members to consider this information in planning their future activities. Additionally, it reiterates its call for members to submit proposals and questions for discussion and presentation, including at working meetings with government representatives.
