Webinar “Critical Status and Employee Exemption in 2025”

On February 12, the webinar “Critical Status and Employee Exemption in 2025” took place, providing an in-depth review of the updated legislative framework, requirements for obtaining critical enterprise status, and the procedure for exempting conscripted employees from military service. The webinar was conducted by Oleg Nesterov, an advocacy and government relations (GR) expert with over eight years of experience working with government authorities.

Key Points:
• Fuel and energy sector enterprises can exempt up to 100% of their employees.
• To obtain critical enterprise status, a fuel and energy company needs to meet just two main criteria.
• As of December 1, 2024, exemption applications must be submitted via the Diia platform.

Changes in the exemption procedure allow fuel and energy companies to ensure the sector’s uninterrupted operation even under mobilization conditions. However, all companies must promptly update their status, monitor compliance with the criteria, and correctly process the necessary documents.

The Fuel and Energy Business Association will continue to inform companies about legislative changes and organize further events to support market participants.

A video recording of the webinar is available to Association members.
