On May 9, Kyiv hosted the conference “Key Priorities 2025 for Economic Recovery,” organized by the Ukrainian Business Council with the participation of members of parliament, business leaders, and civil society representatives. The event clearly demonstrated: Ukrainian business is not merely waiting for change — it is driving it. Together with MPs, participants discussed the key directions for rebuilding the country. This was not another declaration, but a commitment to the future — one that demands not slogans, but constructive action.
Among the members of parliament who joined the discussion were Dmytro Razumkov, Andriy Nikolenko, and Valeriy Bozhyk — representatives of parliamentary committees responsible for economic, tax, and energy policy.
When it comes to the post-war economy, it is essential to recognize: development will not happen on its own. It must be designed — much like an engineer designs a complex system. Key priorities outlined during the event included support for the processing industry, tax and customs reform, SME development, and essential prerequisites for recovery such as energy stability and transparent infrastructure.
“We must think not only in terms of recovery, but also of shaping — what kind of economy are we building? It is important to go beyond slogans and clearly define the directions that will truly drive growth,” — emphasized Tetiana Dumenkova, Deputy Head of the Association of Fuel and Energy Business.
As a voice of the fuel and energy sector in the national dialogue, Association of Fuel and Energy Business highlighted the importance of implementing balanced energy policy solutions. In particular, this includes the practical enforcement of the Law of Ukraine “On Minimum Stocks of Oil and Petroleum Products”, which the Association continues to advance in cooperation with the relevant ministry.
We believe that sustainable development is not only about numbers — it is about reliability, predictability, and partnership. That is why the Association will continue to unite efforts with those who are ready to invest in the future — professionally, transparently, and with care for everyone it will impact. The official press release of the event is available on the Ukrainian Business Council’s website.
